Trek in the Lares Valley

Free day of acclimatization. possibility to visit Cusco market with its thousand and one colors, served with its local products. Take the opportunity to taste one of our tasty fruit juice or to see one of our “Emolienteros” around the corner, who will prepare you, with delicacy, a natural plants or Kinois extract.

At the end of the journey, your guide will join you in your hostel to do a briefing of your trek.

Early in the morning, departure in a private van. During the route we will cross the Sacred Valley its archeological sites and its traditional markets. Arrival in Huaran (2900m), departure of our trek. We will meet our team of cooks, our porters and jennies.

Departure for a hiking during 5 hours approximately, with a wonderful view in mountains, lakes and falls which will transport us in an exceptional universe.

Arrival in the camp in Quishuarani (3700m). Installation and hot dinner.

It will be a marvellous day. After the breakfast, departure for a hiking during 7 hours in which we will cross the Huilquikasa pass or the Yna Cocha pass (4500m), a perfect environment where we will meet several communities with their traditions and ancestral rites to the sacred mountains.

An important variety of the fauna and the flora, mixing with this unique landscape will allow us to stop the time in order to live impressive moments.

At the end of afternoon, arrival in the camp of Cuncani (3780m). Installation and hot dinner.

New day, new feelings. During this journey we will walk during 8 hours and we will discover several cultivated terraces. This variety of colors in link with the soil will appear just front of you, wonderful landscapes in 400m of altitude.

All these andean communities have a large knowledge in agriculture and weave. They will explain you why they dedicate their time and riches to the Gods of mountain and earth. We will continue our route in order to cross the highest pass of this journey (4350m). Then we will go down to join the camp of Ipsay Cocha (4150m).

Installation and hot dinner. During this evening, we could share a moment the community of this place.

In the morning, departure for a soft hiking. During our route, we will visit a new community well known for its weaving. From there we will take a private van to join the village of Ollantaytambo. Before to join it we will visit the village of Willoc where people will show their ancestral traditions.

AguasCalientes, city close to the Machu Picchu. Installation in your hostel.

Around 06H30 departure in bus to join the citadel, possibility to go to the Sun Door in order to survey the Machu Picchu with the first sun lights. This third wonder of the world, found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, American anthropologist, reaching 2400 high meters, will appear just front of you and will let you reflexive.

A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.

Towards 1 pm return to the village for the lunch.

Back to the railway station in Aguascalientes for your train to Ollantaytambo. Upon your arrival, transfer in a private van to join Cusco. Installation at the hostel.

Suggestion :

Possibility for good walkers to climb the Huayna Picchu (don’t be scared of heights) or join the Sun door.
