DAY 2:LIMA – VISIT OF THE AREQUIPA CITY. (2335m) – (flight / private car).
Departure at 9 am in a private van with your guide to the airport for your flight to Arequipa, Peru’s second main city. You will be welcomed by our guide and you will be taken to your hostel in a private car.
At the beginning of afternoon, guided tour of the largest convent of the world, an Unesco site, the “Santa Catalina monastery”. Built in 1579, its 20462m2 were composed of 450 recluses who didn’t have any contact with the external world until 1970. Commonly known as “White City”, we will traverse the streets of the town of a bright white, (due to the sillar, main construction material) to discover the wonderful Plaza de Armas (Greater Plaza) bordered by its majestic cathedral. At the end of day, return to you hostel.

AREQUIPA – COLCA (3640mts) (Private car).
Departure at 07h00 in a private car in direction of the Colca Canyon located in the Peruvian Cordillera of the south which reached 3.270. Its throats are twice deeper than them of the Large Canyon of Colorado, which means it is one of the deepest canyons in the world.
During the way, you will cross the Aguada Blanca reserve where we can see vicunas. Passage of the Patapamapa collar. Installation in your hostel, Las Casitas 5*, a real paradise of relaxation, the perfect escapade to escape the daily stress. During these two days, your preferences will be of the honor.

CANYON DE COLCA – CRUZ DEL CONDOR – AREQUIPA (3860 mts).(Private Van).
In the morning, departure in a private van. First step in the “Cruz del Condor”, perfect observation point for the Andean Condor. We will visit the Maca villaje before to cross the Andean Cordillera and reach the Altiplano and its unusual landscapes. Return to Arequipa.

AREQUIPA – CUSCO – ½ CITY TOUR. (Plane).
Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for a flight to Cusco. Reception and transfer to the Cusco hostel.
« God’s Gift to Mankind » en Quechua. Cusco has been the “Tawantinsuyu” Inca Empire capital. The legend tells the city was build during the XI or XII century by Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo after birth in the Titicaca Lake.
At the beginning of the afternoon, discovery of Cusco and its sites. On the upper parts of the town, you could find the “Sacsayhuaman” strongholds. A few kilometres further, there are the Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay sites which Incas stone constructions.
At the end of afternoon, return to Cusco in order to discover the picturesque district of “San Blas”. Back to your hostel.

CUSCO – PISAC – OLLANTAYTAMBO – YUCAY. (Private van).
Departure in the morning in a private car to the Sacred Valley and to join the typical village of Pisac. Ruins visit, a strategic point for Incas to control the valley. Little walk in the one thousand and one colors art market. Lunch in Pisac.
At the beginning of the afternoon, We will continue our route to the typical village named Ollantaytambo in honour of “Cacique Ollanta”. According to oral tradition, this “Cacique” was in love of a princess, daughter of the Inca Pachacutec. Visit of its stronghold. Installation at the hostel.

DAY 7:AGUASCALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO. (Vistadome Train).
Early in the morning, departure in shuttle to get to the Machu Picchu citadel. At 2400m, this third world marvelous, found in 1911 by the American anthropologist Hiram Bingham, will appear front of you and will leave you reflexive.
A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.
Free lunch.
At the good moment, return to the railway station of Aguascalientes to join Ollantaytambo. From there, departure in a private van to Cusco. Installation in your hostel.

DAY 8:CUSCO – LIMA – CAJAMARCA. (Plane).
Transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Cajamarca via Lima

Welcome and transfer to your hostel. At the end of afternoon, we will go to Banos del Inca, termal baths with prehispanic origins. As famous as Pultumarca. Return to the hostel.

CAJAMARCA – CUMBE MAYO – CAJAMARCA – OTUZCO – BAÑOS DEL INCA. (Private Van).
During this second day, we will visit the archeological complex of Cumbe Mayo (3500m). In an impressive landscape where you could discover the majestic and famous Roc Forest, or Frailones, in which you could admire some petro glyphs, a sanctuary and the aqueduct : one of the most important hydraulic engineering performs from pre-Colombian America.
Return to Cajamarca to have lunch.
During the afternoon, transfer to Otuzco necropolis. A funerary archeological complex build with quadrangular recesses carved in a volcanic cliff. On the way back, we will cross the Banos del Incas, rest place for Incas and officials of Tawatinsuyu. Here you could take benefit of the swimming-pool, baths and sauna.
Return to Cajamarca.

CAJAMARCA – CELENDIN – LEYMEBAMBA. (Private Van).
From Cajamarca, we will go to Leymebamba. This route will immerse you in the impressive Marañón canyon. You will cross the Calla cordillera culminating at 4000m. We will discover an important variety of ecological steps and wonderful landscapes, offered by the Andean Cordillera.
During the journey, we will visit the museum of Leymebamba where you could observe more than 2000 archeological pieces and 219 Chachapoyas-incas mummies discovered in the mausoleum of Condor lagoons. In the time, you could discover in it, a incredible tree nursery with endemic plants and orchids. Arrival at the end of afternoon and installation in your hostel.

LEIMEBAMBA – KUELAP – CHACHAPOYAS. (Private Van).
Departure from Leymebamba towards 8-9 Am to Kuelap fortress, famous archeological sites of Chachapoyas culture. It is build with two platforms juxtaposed and oriented to the North and the South.

Free morning to recover from your trip and to stroll in the small colonian city of Chachapoyas build in 1536.
Possibility to go to the village of Huancas (15-20min by car), main ceramic production centre. From there, we will go to the watchtower to enjoy of a unbelievable view on the Sonche and Utcubamba canyons.
Lunch on Chachapoyas.
At the beginning of afternoon, transfer to the small village of Pomacochas on the banks of the lagoon.
Free end of afternoon : walk in a small ship or in the village.

Early in the morning, departure for a day car with several stops in order to see the wonderful landscape. This day will allow you to discover a new side of our Peru, and to enter in our Cierra/Selva.

TARAPOTO – AHUASHIYACU – LAMAS – TARAPOTO. (Private Van).
In the morning, we will go to Ahuashioyacu to see the impressive falls of 40 meters of high. We will cross hood bridges and roc stairs to reach the fall and to swim in the lagoon. We could admire a abundant vegetation with orchids, giant ferns, butterflies, birds as toucan and other beautiful birds.
After the lunch in Ahuashiyacu, we will go the Lamas village. Build in 1656, it is one of the oldest Amazonian village in Peru. From now, the inhabitants keep their ancestral traditions and habits and the language (Quechua). This visit includes the museum, the natural watchtower and the traditional district of Wayku.
