LIMA – VISIT OF THE AREQUIPA CITY. (2335m) – (flight / private car).
Departure at 9 am in a private van with your guide to the airport for your flight to Arequipa, Peru’s second main city.
You will be welcomed by our guide and you will be taken to your hostel in a private car.
At the beginning of afternoon, guided tour of the largest convent of the world, an Unesco site, the “Santa Catalina monastery”. Built in 1579, its 20462m2 were composed of 450 recluses who didn’t have any contact with the external world until 1970. Commonly known as “White City”, we will traverse the streets of the town of a bright white, (due to the sillar, main construction material) to discover the wonderful Plaza de Armas (Greater Plaza) bordered by its majestic cathedral. At the end of day, return to you hostel.

DAY 3:AREQUIPA – CAÑON del COLCA (3640mts) (First day in the 4*4 van).
Before beginning this trip you have to know that these three days will be unique. For your first day you will cross several areas where people are completely out of time. The distance changing according to the transport.
In the morning, departure in a private van to the Colca Canyon located in the Peruvian Cordillera of the south which reached 3.270. Its throats are twice deeper than them of the Large Canyon of Colorado, which means it is one of the deepest canyons in the world.
During the way, you will cross the Aguada Blanca reserve where we can see vicunas. Passage of the Patapamapa collar. Installation in your hostel, Las Casitas 5*, a real paradise of relaxation, the perfect escapade to escape the daily stress.

DAY 4:CRUZ del CONDOR – ESPINAR – LANGUI LAGOON. (4*4 day and camping).
Towards 07H00, departure in private car along the Colca Canyon to join the « Cruz del Condor », this vulture bird which can reach a scale of 3.50m for an adult, using updrafts, it reaches sometimes an altitude of flight of 6000mts. On the way we will visit several typical villages.
We will follow our route on 280kms of trail.

During this stage you will cross the Altiplano where several passes, landscapes and this far away area will surprise you. You will go where nobody goes, you will live unique moment. Your values, requests and habits will be nothing in comparison with in unknown world.
Short stage in Espinard, city in the clouds where you could spend a moment with people living like 200 years ago in Europe.
We will continue our route to join the Langui Lagoon. Upon you arrival at the camp you will just have to take benefit of this unbelievable site where silence and a sky with lots of stars will be with you. After the dinner, and around a fire camp, our cookers whose are also musicians will show you their life art.

LANGUI LAGOON – CUSCO. (4×4 Day).
Wake up early in the morning, with the silence of this area. Breakfast according to you rhythm.
Towards 8 am departure in a private van to join Cusco city. Relieves : La Puna is the highest part for the Andean Cordillera (between 3000 and 5000m).
Open your eyes, this route offers a splendid panorama of the highest plains of this area, a total immersion in the fertile loneliness of these great spaces. Between lacks and volcanoes, people living here has known to adapt themselves and live in a perfect harmony with the climate of this area. Could you do the same ?
Arrival in Cusco at the end of the journey. Installation in your hostel.

DAY 6:CUSCO – CITY TOUR. (Private Van).
Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Transfer to your hostel. « God’s Gift to Mankind » en Quechua. Cusco has been the “Tawantinsuyu” Inca Empire capital. The legend tells the city was build during the XI or XII century by Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo after birth in the Titicaca Lake.
During the morning, we will visit the cathedral and the Sun temple.
Buffet lunch prepared just for you in the middle in the magic site of Sacsayhuaman.
At the beginning of the afternoon, discovery of Cusco and its sites. On the upper parts of the town, you could find the “Sacsayhuaman” strongholds. A few kilometres further, there are the Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay sites which Incas stone constructions.
At the end of afternoon, return to Cusco in order to discover the picturesque district of “San Blas”. Back to your hostel.

DAY 7:CUSCO – PISAC – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUASCALIENTES. (4×4 Private Van).
Departure in the morning in a private car to the Sacred Valley and to join the typical village of Pisac. Ruins visit, a strategic point for Incas to control the valley. Little walk in the one thousand and one colors art market. Lunch in Pisac.
At the beginning of the afternoon, we will continue our route to the typical village named Ollantaytambo in honour of “Cacique Ollanta”. According to oral tradition, this “Cacique” was in love of a princess, daughter of the Inca Pachacutec. Visit of its fortress.
You will leave your car at the Sol y Luna hostel. Then you will join the railway station thanks to a private van.

DAY 8:MACHU PICCHU VISIT – YUCAY. (Inka Rail Ejecutivo Train / Private Van).
Around 06H30 departure in bus to join the citadel, possibility to go to the Sun Door in order to survey the Machu Picchu with the first sun lights. This third wonder of the world, found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, American anthropologist, reaching 2400 high meters, will appear just front of you and will let you reflexive.
A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.
The lunch is included. At the good moment back to Aguascalientes railway station to Ollantaytambo. Welcome and installation at your hostel.
Typical evening : In an extraordinary environment and around an excellent table you could see a horse show and several typical dances as « La Marinera ».
Then, a real magic moment, you could assist at one of the most important ceremony in the Andean culture « the gift to the Earth » which will be realized by the « Chaman ».

DAY 9:YUCAY – MORAY – MARAS – CHINCHERO – CUSCO. (Private van).
Early in the morning, we will follow our road to go to the surprising « Salinas de Maras » salt water sources which have been flowed for centuries and still unexploited by the local population who rent one or several parcels.
From this place, we will discover Moray, Amphitheatre composed by several terraces disposed on concentric circles. In fact, it was an Inca agricultural research centre where was practiced cultural experience. Each terrace creates a microclimate where it’s possible to cultivate more than 250 plant’s varieties.
The Chinchero village based in Cusco campaign was entirely built, like Ollantaytambo, in Inca bases. To “Tupac Yupanqui” could repose himself during his displacement. It’s one of the rare villages who still own today, Incas traces. Its Church or all these terraces are the proof.

DAY 11:CUSCO – PUNO. (3360mts) – (Andean Explorer Train).
Early in the morning departure from Cusco train station, to Andes’ train, first class Orient Express to Puno.
The East Express, a legend, will offer you the opportunity to have a different travel through the Altiplano. With this day you could appreciate unique landscapes and see the highest point in Peru, “La Raya” (4320m) where we will do a short break. Then we will continue our trip to the Titicaca Lack. Welcome and transfer at the hostel.

PUNO – CHUCUITO – LUQUINA CHICO. (Private Van).
Departure around 8:00 am in a privet van, (2:30 hour journey) to go to the Karina peninsula, zone Aymara. We will follow the Lake banks, this unusual landscape and still virgin, will let us thinking. On the way, Chucuito visit and Plateria peninsula too.
At our arrival, welcome and installation in guest houses. They will explain you their daily activities: work of the ground, breeding, production of home-made cheeses.

In the afternoon, “Arku Punku” visit on board of artisanal small ships, learning of their king of fishing.

DAY 13:LUQUINA CHICO – TAQUILÉ and UROS ISLANDS – PUNO. (Private Van).
Breakfast with the family, around 08h00 departure on a motorboat to join the Huayllano community, welcome by the Taquile families. Small walk and visit of the island. The community will teach us its ancestral customs (agriculture, weaving, natural medicine).
Typical lunch. At the beginning of the afternoon, we will go down the 527 steps of the island to join our boat in direction of waterborne Uros islands. Created in the XIII century by the Uros to escape from the Incas. Back to the hostel, arrival around 5pm.

Suggestion :
After the lunch, possibility to visit Barranco, an old fishermen village. This district is today a seaside, very attractive for foreign and local people. It is the romantic, bohemian and night owl area of Lima.
