Perfect Adventure

DAY 1:

LIMA – INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. (Jorge Chavez international Airport).

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative who will drive you in a private car directly to your hostel in the Miraflores district.

You could taste one of our national cocktails, “Pisco Sour or Algarobina”, and our guide you will do a summary of your trip and will be on your disposal to give an answer to all your questions.

DAY 2:

LIMA – CITY TOUR. (Private Van).

From 9.00 Am, archeological museum visit, exceptional view on the old pre-Columbian and Inca Peru, which means more than 3000 years of history. Then, we will join the Lima historic center, Unesco site from 1991. Before to visit the San Francisco convent, we will discover the San Martin Place, the Weapons Place and its cathedral. These examples of a colonial, Neo Classic, Art Deco and New Art architectures will you be travel through the time.

Then we will visit the Peruvian Gastronomic house. Prepare your taste buds because you are going to discover many savours from the spanish period to present day, from the Pachamanca to Seco de Cabrito, through the famous Ceviche, an old art where each product has its place. Towards 1.30 Pm, lunch in a « Cevicheria », the lunch will be dedicated to the sea savors which will surprise you. Just after this lunch, you could pass a paraglide baptism along the Lima coast, another way to see Lima and discover new sensations.

After the lunch, we will visit Chorrilos where we could discover the large variety of seafood. At the end of afternoon, we will visit Barranco, an old fishermen village. This district is today a seaside, very attractive for foreign and local people. It is the romantic, bohemian and night owl area of Lima. Transfer to your hostel.

Option :

In the evening, massage during 45 minutes and a Spa session.

DAY 3:

LIMA – CUSCO – CITY TOUR. (Plane).

Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for a flight to Cusco. Reception and transfer to the Cusco hostel.

« God’s Gift to Mankind » en Quechua. Cusco has been the “Tawantinsuyu” Inca Empire capital. The legend tells the city was built during the XI or XII century by Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo after birth in the Titicaca Lake.

At the beginning of the afternoon, discovery of Cusco and its sites. On the upper parts of the town, you could find the “Sacsayhuaman” strongholds. A few kilometers further, there are the Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay sites which Incas stone constructions.

At the end of afternoon, return to Cusco in order to discover the picturesque district of “San Blas”. Back to your hostel.

Evening :

Free.

End of the journey : rites, exfoliation ceremonies and massage.

DAY 4:

CUSCO – PISAC – OLLANTAYTAMBO. (Private Van).

Departure in the morning in a private car to the Sacred Valley and to join the typical village of Pisac. Ruins visit, a strategic point for Incas to control the valley. Little walk in the one thousand and one colors art market. Lunch in Pisac.

At the beginning of the afternoon, we will continue our route to the typical village named Ollantaytambo in honor of “Cacique Ollanta”. According to oral tradition, this “Cacique” was in love of a princess, daughter of the Inca Pachacutec. Visit of its fortress. Installation at the hostel.

El Huacatay Restaurant,

Merger between Mediterranean, Asian and local cooking. It is just one of the best restaurant of Cusco areas.

Small familial restaurant. It is not only a place where meals are really delicious but it is also a refuse where aestheticism and atmosphere are just one.

DAY 5:

OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO (Train).

Departure from the Ollantaytambo railway station to join Machu Picchu Pueblo city located at the Selva doors. At your arrival, installation in your hostel with a particular attention. After the lunch, small walk in this luxuriant vegetation where we will discover an important variety of orchids, “more than 200”, unique in this area, or our famous Hummingbird.

Inkaterra Hostel,

Nothing less than a natural paradise where we can be connected with the sacred mountain energy. Inkaterra is more than a luxury hostel, it is a luxurious village in the white hills with terrace bungalows.

El Indio Feliz Restaurant,

This restaurant with its thousands colors is the best table of the area, its chief Patrick, will take you along his mazes of savors in the middle of a surprising environment.

DAY 6:

MACHU PICCHU – YUCAY. (Vistadome Train).

Around 06H30 departure in bus to join the citadel, possibility to go to the Sun Door in order to survey the Machu Picchu with the first sun lights. This third wonder of the world, found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, American anthropologist, reaching 2400 high meters, will appear just front of you and will let you reflexive.

A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.

Return to the Aguacalientes railway station at 16h30 to Ollantaytambo.

Upon your arrival you will be transported in a private car directly to your hostel.

Suggestion :

Possibility for good walkers to climb the Huayna Picchu (don’t be scared of heights) or join the Sun door.

DAY 7:

YUCAY – MORAY – MARAS – CHINCHERO – CUSCO.(Private Van).

Early in the morning, we will follow our road to go to the surprising « Salinas de Maras » salt water sources which have been flowed for centuries and still unexploited by the local population who rent one or several parcels.

From this place, we will discover Moray, Amphitheatre composed by several terraces disposed on concentric circles. In fact, it was an Inca agricultural research centre where was practiced cultural experience. Each terrace creates a microclimate where it’s possible to cultivate more than 250 plant’s varieties.

The Chinchero village based in Cusco campaign was entirely built, like Ollantaytambo, in Inca bases. To “Tupac Yupanqui” could repose himself during his displacement. It’s one of the rare villages who still own today, Incas traces. Its Church or all these terraces are the proof. Return to Cusco. Installation at your hostel.

DAY 8:

CUSCO – LIMA – IQUITOS – AMAZON RIVER. (Plane – Cruise).

Early in the morning, departure from Cusco to join the capital city, Lima. Upon your arrival a guide will be there for you and will help you in your connexion to Quito. Flight (LP 394 at 4.10 Pm) to Inquitos (Amazonia). Upon your arrival you will be welcomed by the guides of the Delfin II who will transfer you on board.

After your installation we will weight anchor and you will begin your cruise.

Towards 20h00, meeting on the deck to introduce the cruise company. Our naturalist guides will explain you with details your stay. Then a local products dinner will be offer to you.

Before to take advantages of the beautiful Amazonian night, our competent team will share with you a musical evening and a wonderful fruit cocktail.

• Lima / Iquitos : Lan Peru flight Nº2382 at 15H40, arrival at 17H25.

DAY 9:

AMAZON RIVER – TAHUAYO – CHARO LAKE. (Cruise).

6:30 Am. Early in the morning, departure in a small boat on the Amazon river which will give you unique sensations and a taste of this trip. Return on the boat to appreciate an exotic breakfast.

Expedition : During our cruise through the Tahuayo river, we could observe some fishermen. Open your eyes to see a swallows, tropical birds, falcons and sloths with black throat festival. After our arrival in the Charo lack, you could use fishing instruments to try catching one of the ferocious piranhas, and other kind of fishes. During this rest moment, our guides will tell you the story of this lack and its inhabitants.

Back on board and lunch. After the lunch and before a new adventure you will have the possibility to take a break and to appreciate this wonderful view.

Towards 4 pm, we will navigate to the Yacapana Islands or « Iguana Islands” where you could meet a community. The Amazonian believes tell that if we touch an iguana, this person will develop a part of iguana characteristics. Return on board and under a purple sunset, we will have the opportunity to see and take pictures of grey and pink dolphins. The Amazonian people think that these animals change themselves in a human person during the religious ceremonies or celebrations.

The Delfin II will continue its cruise upstream, where Ucayali and Spondias rivers form the Amazon river.

DAY 10:

MARAÑON RIVER – NACIONALE DE PACAYA SAMIRIA RIVER. (Cruise).

6:30 Am. Breakfast and departure for a long walk in the Amazonian forest where your guide will present you the developing projects of the area. We will visit one of these projects when inhabitants plant palms to obtain oil, and create artificial turtle’s nets to protect their eggs.

Immediately we will sink into the jungle to find a wild life. Our naturalist guide will show you several medicinal plants. Return on board for the lunch.

Towards 3:00 pm : Expedition to observe monkeys, Dolphins and Caymans. You could appreciate two different kinds of dolphins living in soft water. You will be surprised by an important variety of primates as 13 monkey species living in the national park. This moment will be devoted to the discovery of an unusual fauna and flora. Return on the boat where we will spend the evening.

DAY 11:

YURUCUCHE LACK – PEOPLE FROM PUERTO PRADO – NAUTA – LIMA. (Cruise/Plane).

6:30am. Early departure on the Ucayali River to join the Yurucuche Lake. Small walking through the forest to discover aquatic plants, the tallest in the world : “the Royal victories”. You will one of the only persons to see this show. Return on the boat for the breakfast.

This morning, the DelfinII will sail to and fro across the national reserve limits of Pacaya Samiria, dense vegetation on five millions of acres. In this place, intersection between two of the largest rivers, the Ucayali and the Spondias, you could see one of the most important falls in the world.

During this excursion you could listening the song of birds, swallows, smiling flacon and other birds.

From there, we will join a location filled with Port le Pré natives, where you could share with the local inhabitants of this far away part of the world and know more about their cultures, traditions and folklore. Before the departure, you will have the possibility to discover their local art and do some purchasing. Return on board.

Lunch, the last of this unforgotten stay. A perfect mix between nature, comfort, elegance and feelings.

Return on the soil to join the Iquitos airport in a private van, to Lima. Welcome and transfer to your hostel.

DAY 12:

LIMA – INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. (Jorge Chavez International Airport).

Three hours after your flight, transfer to the Jorge Chavez international airport for your return.
