LIMA – CITY VISIT. (Private Van).
From 9.00 Am, archaeological museum visit, exceptional view on the old pre-Columbian and Inca Peru, which means more than 3000 years of history. Then, we will join the Lima historic centre, Unesco site from 1991. Before to visit the San Francisco convent, we will discover the San Martin Place, the Weapons Place and its cathedral. These examples of a colonial, Neo Classic, Art Deco and New Art architectures will you be travel through the time.
Lunch.
At the beginning of afternoon, we will visit Barranco, an old fishermen village. This district is today a seaside, very attractive for foreign and local people. It is the romantic, bohemian and night owl area of Lima.

LIMA – PUERTO MALDONADO. (Plane).
Towards 6 : 45 am, transfer to the airport of Lima for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, at Amazonian doors. Before to join our Lodge, we could visit the “Plaza de Armas”. From the watchtower you could discover a wonderful panorama on the union of these two rivers, the Madre de Dios river and the Tambopata river.
Then we will take on board a typical Amazonian boat for a 40-minute crossing. Welcome cocktail and installation in your bungalows. During the afternoon, first meeting with the forest through a walk to discover an important variety of medicinal plants, tropical trees, birds, insects, butterflies and other animals. Short break on a watchtower to observe Toucans, macaws and other birds. (walk during 2h30 – 3h). 19h : Before the dinner, late night walk for a “Cayman Safari” in order to find the White Cayman (scientific name) which lives on the river’s banks. Free night in the Lodge.

DAY 4:PUERTO MALDONADO.
Wake up at 5.30 am for a 20-minute walk to arrive in Collpa de Loros, where more than 5 bird species eat a special clay, essential for their metabolism, a wonderful show of colours.
8.00 am : Breakfast and free time. Towards 10.30 am, we will navigate on the Madre de Dios for an expedition to Monkey Island, where live in total freedom some species of this very interesting animal. From there and after 30 minutes of crossing, we will enter on the Tambopata Candamo National Reserve territory. Walk of 5kms through the luxuriant tropical vegetation to join the Sandoval Lack.
Many animal species live in this environment : birds (as Sanshos, Kingfishers and Anhingas), monkeys (Wasitas, Cotomonos or Capuchin)
We will sail to and fro across the lack in a canoe until the sunset which is a unforgettable show. In the end of the journey, return in the Lodge.

DAY 5:PUERTO MALDONADO – CUSCO – CITY TOUR. (Plane / Private Van).
Early in the morning, departure in a private car, with your guide, to the airport. Flight to the “God’s Gift to Mankind »,Csuco.
« God’s Gift to Mankind » en Quechua. Cusco has been the “Tawantinsuyu” Inca Empire capital. The legend tells the city was build during the XI or XII century by Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo after birth in the Titicaca Lake.
At the beginning of the afternoon, discovery of Cusco and its sites. We will begin our visit with the Sun temple of “Qorikancha” and its cathedral, built from 1560 to 1669.During the afternoon, we will join the Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay sites which Incas stone constructions. At the end of afternoon, return to Cusco in order to discover the picturesque district of “San Blas”. Back to your hostel.

DAY 6:VISIT of the SACRED VALLEY – AGUASCALIENTES. (Private Van).
Departure at 08H00 in a private car to the Pisac Village, strategic place for Incas to control the valley. Sunday, market day for neighbour communities. It’s more than one thousands colours which allow us to expose local products and the art diversity.
Lunch at the « El Huacatay » restaurant.
We will continue our route to the typical village named Ollantaytambo in honour of “Cacique Ollanta”. According to oral tradition, this “Cacique” was in love of a princess, daughter of the Inca Pachacutec. Visit of the stronghold.

DAY 7:OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO. (Train Inca Rail Ejecutivo).
Departure from the Ollantaytambo railway station to join Machu Picchu Pueblo city located at the Selva doors. At your arrival, installation in your hostel with a particular attention.
Free morning. You will have the opportunity to walk through the village, take a break in the City’s thermal baths or rest you at the hostel.
After the lunch, small walk in this luxuriant vegetation where we will discover an important variety of orchids, “more than 200”, unique in this area, or our famous Hummingbird.

DAY 8:MACHU PICCHU VISIT – Back to OLLANTAYTAMBO. (East Express Vistadome Train).
Around 06H30 departure in bus to join the citadel, possibility to go to the Sun Door in order to survey the Machu Picchu with the first sun lights. This third wonder of the world, found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, American anthropologist, reaching 2400 high meters, will appear just front of you and will let you reflexive.
A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.
Towards 13h00 back to the village and free lunch. Return to the Aguacalientes railway station at 16h30 to Ollantaytambo.

Early in the morning, we will follow our road to go to the surprising « Salinas de Maras » salt water sources which have been flowed for centuries and still unexploited by the local population who rent one or several parcels.
From this place, we will discover Moray, Amphitheatre composed by several terraces disposed on concentric circles. In fact, it was an Inca agricultural research centre where was practiced cultural experience. Each terrace creates a microclimate where it’s possible to cultivate more than 250 plant’s varieties.
The Chinchero village based in Cusco campaign was entirely built, like Ollantaytambo, on Inca bases. To “Tupac Yupanqui” could repose himself during his displacement. It’s one of the rare villages who still own today, Incas traces. It Church or all these terraces are the proof. Return to Cusco. Installation in your hostel.

DAY 11:CUSCO – TITICACA LAKE. (1rst Class Andean Explorer Train).
Early in the morning, departure from Poroy railway station for the Andean train, East to Puno.
The East Express, a legend, will offer you the opportunity to travel differently through the Altiplano.
This day allows appreciating the unique landscapes of the Altiplano while passing by the highest point “La Raya” 4320m of altitude where you will do a short break. We will continue our route to arrive on the banks of our large blue, the Titicaca Lake.
Upon your arrival at the railway station, welcome by our guide and transfer to your hostel.

PUNO – LUQUINA CHICO. (Private Van).
Departure at 8 am in a private van (2h30) to join the Luquina Chico peninsula, Aymara area. We will sail along the banks lake, this wild landscape and still virgin will leave us wistful. During our route, visit of Chucuito and the Plateria.
Upon your arrival, welcome and installation in your family house. Change of setting, you will be transport in another forgotten world and will share the daily life of this community: Earth work, farming, artisanal cheese production.
Diner with the family, typical night around a campfire, dances and music.
The patriarch will do the lecture through coca leafs, ancestral customs and beliefs which are hand down from the father to the son.

Breakfast with the family, around 08h00 departure on a motorboat to join the Huayllano community, welcome by the Taquile families. Small walk and visit of the island. The community will teach us its ancestral customs (agriculture, weaving, natural medicine).
Typical lunch. At the beginning of the afternoon, we will go down the 527 steps of the island to join our boat in direction of waterborne Uros islands. Created in the XIII century by the Uros to escape from the Incas. Back to the Titilaka hostel, arrival around 5pm.
