Departure in a private car in direction of the Colca Canyon located in the Peruvian Cordillera of the south which reached 3.270. Its throats are twice deeper than them of the Large Canyon of Colorado, which means it is one of the deepest canyons in the world.

During the way, you will cross the Aguada Blanca reserve where we can see vicunas. Passage of the Patapamapa pass. Installation in your hostel.

During the afternoon, short walk during 3 hours to adapt yourself. We will share several moments with the local people which will explain us their culture on terraces. At the end of the journey, rest moment in thermal baths of Yanque. Back to the hostel.

Note:

Leave the city one day before the beginning of this trek is really important for your acclimatization.

Towards 7 am, departure in a private van to join the Canyon Del Colca. During our route, we will do several stops to visit villages and strategic points to observe the canyon.

First stop at Cruz del Condor, ideal observation point to see the majestic Andean Condor.

Then we will join our point departure in the middle of San Miguel Pampa. We will go down along the canyon until the small village of San Juan de Chuccho.

Note :

The treks for beginners from Arequipa obliged travelers to go from Arequipa at 4 am.

Program for this day : visit of the Tapay village, we will cross others villages where inhabitants product fruits and collect the Cochinilla. Lunch in Cosnihura in a familial house. Then we will arrive in the Sangalle oasis for a rest moment in the thermal baths.

Early in the morning, departure to Cabanaconde. This walking day will be difficult. 6 hours. Upon our arrival our private van will be there to take back the road. We will do a stop in Cruz del Condor (30min from Cabanaconde). We will stay here during 2 hours to admire the condor over flights.

Return along the left side of the river to join Chivay. Installation in your hostel. Free afternoon to walk through the Colca campaign or visit the local market of Chivay. During this afternoon, you could also swim in the thermal baths. Free evening.

Early in the morning departure to Arequipa or Titicaca Lake, the highest navigable lake in the world (3814m). This route will allow you to discover this surprising landscape of the Altiplano. During this day, we will do a hiking in the “Roc forest” where strange formations will leave you reflexive. We will cross Puno and we will continue along the Lake’s banks, virgin landscapes. Visit of Chucuito and the peninsula of Plateria.
