DAY 1:

CUSCO – FREE DAY. (Private Car).

Free day, from the morning, possibility to visit Cusco market with its thousand and one colors, served with its local products. Take the opportunity to taste one of our tasty fruit juice or to see one of our “Emolienteros” around the corner, who will prepare you, with delicacy, a natural plants or Kinois extract.

At the end of the journey, your guide will join you to do a briefing of your trek.

AUSANGATE

DAY 2:

CUSCO – MALLMA – SINGRENA COCHA. (Trek).

Singrena Cocha

Early in the morning, we will join, in a private van, the Mallma village (3900m). During our route we will cross several Andean villages with their own habits and traditions. Mallma is our point departure where we will find the rest of the team (carriers, horses, chefs…). Immediately we will begin our long walk (2hours). Our camp will be installed along the Singrena Cocha river (4200m).

Camping.

  • Transport time : 5 hours.
  • Walking time : 2 hours approximately. Climate : from medium to cold.
  • Difference in altitude : 3350 – 3900 – 4200 meters.
DAY 3:

SINGRENA COCHA – PASO TARAPATA – AÑASNIYUC PAMPA. (Trek).

Paso Tarapata

Early in the morning, departure to see this unique environment. The dawn being one of the most spectacular attractions of this area. Glaciers and lagoons will be with us during all this day as well as some species which develop themselves despite of the altitude, as the Andean Cactus or the Pulla Raimondi. If we are lucky we could see some animals as Condor, Chinchilla or Puma.

Then we will cross the highest top (4600m) before to begin our descent to join the Añasñiyucpampa valley (4200m) where we will install our camp.

Camping.

  • Walking time : 7 hours approximately. Climate: from medium to cold.
  • Difference in altitude : 4200 – 4600 – 4200 meters.
DAY 4:

AÑASNIYUC PAMPA – PASO PUPUSAYOC – PACCHANTA. (Trek).

Upon the morning, we will begin our walk to join the Pass of Pupusayoc (4900m) where you could discover an impressive view on the mountains, with the most famous Callangati and Auzangate. We will continue our descent to join the village of Pacchanta (4300), a place where we could take benefit of its thermal waters. Night in the camp and typical dinner.

  • Walking time : 6 hours approximately. Climate: from medium to cold.
  • Difference in altitude : 4200 – 4900 – 4300 meters.
DAY 5:

PACCHANTA – TINQUI – CUSCO. (Fin de Trek / Véhicule Privé).

After the breakfast, small walk to join the Hacienda of Tinqui (3850m). End of trek. A private van will be there to join Cusco city. Installation at the hostel and free evening.

  • Temps de marche : 3 hours approximately. Climate: from medium to cold.
  • Dénivelés : 4300 – 3850 meters.
DAY 6:

VISIT OF THE SACRED VALLEY – AGUASCALIENTES. (Private van and Inka Rail train).

Valle Sacree

Departure in the morning in a private car to the Sacred Valley and to join the typical village of Pisac. Ruins visit, a strategic point for Incas to control the valley. Little walk in the one thousand and one colors art market. Lunch in Pisac.

At the beginning of the afternoon. We will continue our route to the typical village named Ollantaytambo in honour of “Cacique Ollanta”. According to oral tradition, this “Cacique” was in love of a princess, daughter of the Inca Pachacutec. Visit of its stronghold. Installation at the hostel.

Towards 4 pm, you will join the railway station to Aguascalientes. Installation in your hostel.

DAY 7:

VISITE du MACHU PICCHU – Back to OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO.
(East Express Vistadome Train).

Around 06H30 departure in bus to join the citadel, possibility to go to the Sun Door in order to survey the Machu Picchu with the first sun lights. This third wonder of the world, found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, American anthropologist, reaching 2400 high meters, will appear just front of you and will let you reflexive.

A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.

Towards 13h00 back to the village and lunch in the « El Indio Feliz » restaurant.

Return to the Aguacalientes railway station at 16h30 to Ollantaytambo.

Upon your arrival you will be transported in a private car directly to your hostel in Cusco.

Suggestion :

Possibility for good walkers to climb the Huayna Picchu (don’t be scared of heights) or join the Sun door.
