DAY 1:

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT – LIMA. (Jorge Chavez International airport).

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative who will drive you in a private car directly to your hostel in the Miraflores district.

You could taste one of our national cocktails, “Pisco Sour or Algarobina”, and our guide you will do a summary of your trip and will be on your disposal to give an answer to all your questions.

DAY 2:

LIMA – CITY TOUR – FLIGHT to AREQUIPA. (Private Van/Plane).

From 08.45 Am, departure in a private van with your English speaking guide to the archaeological museum visit, exceptional view on the old pre-Columbian and Inca Peru, which means more than 3000 years of history (2 hours).

Then, we will join the Lima historic centre, Unesco site from 1991.

Before to visit the San Francisco convent, we will discover the San Martin Place, the Weapons Place and its cathedral. These examples of a colonial, Neo Classic, Art Deco and New Art architectures will you be travel through the time. We will go back to Miraflores to have lunch.

At the beginning of afternoon, we will visit Barranco, an old fishermen village. This district is today a seaside, very attractive for foreign and local people. It is the romantic, bohemian and night owl area of Lima.

Flight :

Lima / Arequipa : Peruvian Airline Nº232 Flight at 7 Pm, arrival at 08.25 Pm.

DAY 3:

VISIT OF THE AREQUIPA CITY. (2335mts) – (Day on feet).

Towards 08.45 Am you will begin this journey of visit with the guide’s advices. After your breakfast, you will go to the San Camilo market, main sale centre of Arequipa’s products, and was built depending on Gustave Eiffel’s plans;

In this thousand and one colours maze, you will discover an important variety of Peruvian products and a special environment. In few locations, the witches will propose you, according to your desires or your troubles, some treatments. Far away our salesmen, with their impressive plant knowledge, will cure you.

You will traverse the streets of the town of a bright white, (due to the sillar, main construction material) to discover the wonderful Plaza de Armas (Greater Plaza) bordered by its majestic cathedral.

At the beginning of afternoon, guided tour of the largest convent of the world, an Unesco site, the “Santa Catalina monastery”. Built in 1579, its 20462m2 were composed of 450 recluses who didn’t have any contact with the external world until 1970. If the weather is good and according to your wishes, possibility to take a taxi to have a panoramic view of the city and its volcanoes, from Yanahuara and Cayma watchtowers.

Le Zig Zag Restaurant,

This restaurant offers a culinary fusion, through its Alpandino dishes, which takes roots in the mountains, where the sun fills food of energy and balance.

Environment,

Very special place to discover new wines in our wine bar and appreciate a particular gastronomic night in a cosy environment while admiring the historical iron staircases drawn by the famous French architect Gustave Alexandre Eiffel.

DAY 4:

AREQUIPA – CAÑON del COLCA. (3640mts) (Private Van).

Departure at 07h00 in a private car in direction of the Colca Canyon located in the Peruvian Cordillera of the south which reached 3.270. Its throats are twice deeper than them of the Large Canyon of Colorado, which means it is one of the deepest canyons in the world.

During the way, you will cross the Aguada Blanca reserve where we can see vicunas. Passage of the Patapamapa collar. Lunch in a small Chivay’s restaurant. Installation in your hostel.

According to your desires opportunity to realize a small walk along the canyon or to take benefit of hot water thermal baths to take a break and relax you. Splendid view on the valley.

DAY 5:

CAÑON del COLCA – TITICACA LAKE. (Private Van).

In the morning, departure in a private van to join the Titicaca Lake. First step in the “Cruz del Condor”, perfect observation point for the Andean Condor. During the return, you will do several stops in watchtowers to see the canyon and some vestiges. Stops in Maca, Achoma or Yanque villages. Return to Chivay.

Lunch box.

During the route, few stops to see these wonderful landscapes : lagoon, fauna, Pampa Cañahuas where a Coca tea will be propose to you.

Upon your arrival in Puno, you will be welcomed by your English speaking guide. Installation at your hostel.

DAY 6:

PUNO – LUQUINA CHICO.(Private Van).

Departure at 8 am in a private van (2h30) to join the Luquina Chico peninsula, Aymara area. We will sail along the banks lake, this wild landscape and still virgin will leave us wistful. During our route, visit of Chucuito and the Plateria peninsula.

Upon your arrival, welcome and installation in your family house. Change of setting, you will be transport in another forgotten world and will share the daily life of this community: Earth work, farming, artisanal cheese production.

Diner with the family, typical night around a campfire, dances and music.

The patriarch will do the lecture through coca leafs, ancestral customs and beliefs which are hand down from the father to the son.

Environment,

You will be transported 100 years in the past. This only moment will give you the opportunity to think about you, to appreciate and to put into perspective your daily life. An important moment of sharing and humility.

Note :

Very rough comfort but according to the house you could find a private bathroom but it is not systematic.

DAY 7:

VISIT of the TAQUILÉ and UROS ISLANDS – PUNO. (Private Boat).

Breakfast with the family, around 08h00 departure on a motorboat to join the Huayllano community, welcome by the Taquile families. Small walk and visit of the island. The community will teach us its ancestral customs (agriculture, weaving, natural medicine).

Typical lunch. At the beginning of the afternoon, we will go down the 527 steps of the island to join our boat in direction of waterborne Uros islands. Created in the XIII century by the Uros to escape from the Incas. Return to your hostel in Puno, arrival around 5pm.

DAY 8:

PUNO – CUSCO. (Private Van).

Departure at 09.00 Am in a private van to join Cusco.

This day allows to take benefit of sumptuous landscapes and discover “La Raya”, which the end of the Altiplano and the beginning of the Inter-Andean valley in which the Inca civilization is developed. During the route, we will visit Pukara, Raqchi and the Andean “Sixtine Chapel”.

Welcoming by one of our guide in Cusco and transfer, in a private van, to your hostel.

From April to October : On Monday / Wednesday / Friday / Saturday.

A wonderful culinary experience where meals, culinary savours and wines will do only one.

All the Cicciolina experience begins by its high knowledge of flavours which will awake your taste buds.

In a cosmopolite environment, as the city herself, you will feel that’s you are in your own house.

DAY 9:

VISIT OF THE CUSCO CITY. (Private Van).

“The Navel of the World” in Quechua, was the capital of the Inca´s Empire “Tawantinsuyu”. The legend tells that the city was found in XI or XII century by Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo, both were born at the Titicaca Lake, selected by the god to build this wonderful civilization. Free day.

Our Suggestion :

Day dedicated at the discovery of Cusco and it sites. We will begin our visit by the sun temple “Qorikancha”, and the Cathedral, it construction begun in 1560 and finished in 1669. During the afternoon, we will go the 4 Incas ruins: Tambornachay Q’enko – Pukapucara – Sacsayhuaman. Return to Cusco, to discover the picturesque area of “San Blas”. Return to your hotel.

El Map Café Restaurant,

A restaurant which is different thanks to its cooking combining the best from central Andes which will captivate your palates.

Located in an interior court of the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, its modern infrastructure is composed of glass cubes which underline the art of the old Peruvian cultures. A place very sophisticated and with lots of style where you could discover the creativity of one of the best Andean cooking.

DAY 10:

SACRED VALLEY – AGUASCALIENTES. (Private Van and Vistadome Train).

In the morning, departure in a private car to the Pisac Village, strategic place for Incas to control the valley. You will begin your journey with the visit of the Pisac archaeological site, and you could go down in the village through the Inca track.

Sunday, market day for neighbour communities. It’s more than one thousands colors which allow us to expose local products and the art diversity.

Free lunch.

We will continue our route to the typical village named Ollantaytambo in honour of “Cacique Ollanta”. According to oral tradition, this “Cacique” was in love of a princess, daughter of the Inca Pachacutec. Visit of the stronghold.

Towards 2.45 Pm, you will join the railway station for your train to Aguascalientes, just located in the bottom of Machu Picchu. Welcome and installation in your hostel.

Note :

If you don’t have the time to visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, you will do it the day 12 in the morning.

Advice Lunch, El Huacatay Restaurant,

Chief: Pío Vázquez de Velasco.

Merger between Mediterranean, Asian and local cooking. It is just one of the best restaurant of Cusco areas.

Small familial restaurant. It is not only a place where meals are really delicious but it is also a refuse where aestheticism and atmosphere are just one.

DAY 11:

MACHU PICCHU VISIT – Back to OLLANTAYTAMBO. (East Express Vistadome Train).

Around 06H30 departure in bus to join the citadel, possibility to go to the Sun Door in order to survey the Machu Picchu with the first sun lights. This third wonder of the world, found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, American anthropologist, reaching 2400 high meters, will appear just front of you and will let you reflexive.

A site within an extraordinary beauty, in a tropical environment shows the apogee of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu will surprise you by its terraces, walls and impressive ramps in a natural setting.

This restaurant with its thousands colours is the best table of the area, its chief Patrick, will take you along his mazes of savours in the middle of a surprising environment.

DAY 12:

OLLANTAYTAMBO – MORAY – MARAS – CHINCHERO – CUSCO. (Private Van).

Early in the morning, we will follow our road to go to the surprising « Salinas de Maras » salt water sources which have been flowed for centuries and still unexploited by the local population who rent one or several parcels.

From this place, we will discover Moray, Amphitheatre composed by several terraces disposed on concentric circles. In fact, it was an Inca agricultural research centre where was practiced cultural experience. Each terrace creates a microclimate where it’s possible to cultivate more than 250 plant’s varieties.

The Chinchero village based in Cusco campaign was entirely built, like Ollantaytambo, on Inca bases. To “Tupac Yupanqui” could repose himself during his displacement. It’s one of the rare villages who still own today, Incas traces. It Church or all these terraces are the proof. Return to Cusco. Installation in your hostel.

DAY 13:

CUSCO – FREE DAY. (Without Van).

Free day, from the morning, possibility to visit Cusco market with its thousand and one colours, served with its local products. Take the opportunity to taste one of our tasty fruit juice or to see one of our “Emolienteros” around the corner, who will prepare you, with delicacy, a natural plants or Kinois extract.

Take the opportunity to get your last purchases with our artisans, who will welcome you with all the attention you need.

In the evening, Novalys will have the pleasure to invite you for your meal departure, on one of our best selection of restaurant, this to thanks you for you trust and you presence in Peru.

Restaurant El Vaco,

Vaco is a roomy place with an atmosphere where gastronomy, wines and savours are mixed in the South America sound.

Rustic environment where impressive colored paintings between some bunches of flowers are mingling with wood and iron.

DAY 14:

CUSCO – LIMA – DEPARTURE INTERNATIONAL. (Jorge Chavez International Airport).

Towards 7 Am, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Welcome by a Novalys representative in Lima.

If you wish we could leave a private van to realize some visits in Lima.

Three hours after your flight, transfer to the Jorge Chavez international airport for your return.

Flight :

Cusco / Lima : Peruvian Airline Nº213 at 09H15, arrival at 10H25.

Option : Day Use Costa Del Sol Ramada 5*.

You could use your room freely until the departure.

DAY 14:

CUSCO – PUERTO MALDONADO.(Plane).

Transfer to the Cusco airport at 8.00 Am for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, at Amazonian doors. Before to join our Lodge, we could visit the “Plaza de Armas”. From the watchtower you could discover a wonderful panorama on the union of these two rivers, the Madre de Dios river and the Tambopata river.

Then we will take on board a typical Amazonian boat for a 40-minute crossing. Welcome cocktail and installation in your bungalows. During the afternoon, first meeting with the forest through a walk to discover an important variety of medicinal plants, tropical trees, birds, insects, butterflies and other animals. Short break on a watchtower to observe Toucans, macaws and other birds. (walk during 2h30 – 3h).

19h : Before the dinner, late night walk for a “Cayman Safari” in order to find the White Cayman (scientific name) which lives on the river’s banks. Free night in the Lodge.

Flight :

Cusco – Puerto Maldonado : Star Peru Nº 1181 at 10h10, arrival at 11h10.

DAY 15:

PUERTO MALDONADO.

Wake up at 5.30 am for a 20-minute walk to arrive in Collpa de Loros, where more than 5 bird species eat a special clay, essential for their metabolism, a wonderful show of colours.

8.00 am : Breakfast and free time. Towards 10.30 am, we will navigate on the Madre de Dios for an expedition to Monkey Island, where live in total freedom some species of this very interesting animal. From there and after 30 minutes of crossing, we will enter on the Tambopata Candamo National Reserve territory. Walk of 5kms through the luxuriant tropical vegetation to join the Sandoval Lack.

Many animal species live in this environment : birds (as Sanshos, Kingfishers and Anhingas), monkeys (Wasitas, Cotomonos or Capuchin)

We will sail to and fro across the lack in a canoe until the sunset which is a unforgettable show. In the end of the journey, return in the Lodge.

DAY 16:

PUERTO MALDONADO – LIMA – INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE. (Jorge Chavez International Airport).

After the breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Welcome by a Novalys representative in Lima.

If you wish we could leave a private van to realize some visits in Lima.

Three hours after your flight, transfer to the Jorge Chavez international airport for your return.

Flight :

Puerto Maldonado / Lima : Star Peru Nº 1182 at 11H30 arrival at 14H30. Stop off in Cusco.
